Just had West Cork 10yo singlemalt - excellent. Also had Usquaebach Scotch Blend, which was terrible.

Liked: A Midwinter Night's Dram (Act 3 Scene 2)

Hated: 1792 Single Barrel store pick (Dorignac's or Martin's can't recall). It tasted like raw broccoli/vegetables. Very odd. Drank one glass and gave it to my dad.

Black Saddle-one of the smoothest Bourbons I've ever had. Can't say enough about how good it is. Rate it a bit better than Blanton or Colonel Taylor, both of which I love.

Winchester smelled like gasoline, tasted like gasoline with hints of ear wax. Poured it down the drain. Worried the sewer treatment plant may explode.

While on vacation in Florida last summer a fella staying next to us came over and handed me a class of straight up McCallen (don't know what age and he left before I could ask him). That stuff is damn good... I have been trying to find out more about it ever since.I switched from scotch to bourbon several years back but I still enjoy a single malt.

We had a bottle of stranahan’s (Colorado) during the super bowl that was smooth. I’m not connoisseur so I can’t give too much detail.

Like: Woodford Reserve

Did not like: TX Blended Whiskey. Their straight bourbon may be okay (have not tried it) but the blended whiskey so obviously has added vanilla flavoring that it is off-putting. I did some research and found that the ones not labelled straight can use additional flavors.

It didn't taste bad, but if I wanted vanilla milkshake flavor I'd buy a milkshake or liqueur.

Been crushing Original Mississippi Floated.

Surprisingly for me, not really a fan of Knob Creek anymore. Seems like they've changed the recipe in the last 2 or 3 bottles I've had.

One I really did not like is Noah's Mill. Thought it had too much of a spice flavor.

From the same distillery I thoroughly enjoyed Willet Rye.

whoa mare! I think Black Saddle is good, but not Blantons level good.
Thanks for the tip on Col. Taylor. I'll give it a try.

Give Texas Ranger Whiskey a pull. It isn't expensive and I doubt it will sit on anyone's top shelf, but its pretty good IMO.

I have yet to try a bourbon or whiskey I don't like. I just like some less than others.
