I just saw that this years Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is over and once again Joey Chestnut is the winner.
He broke his previous record by downing 76 hot dogs and buns in the 10 minute time period allotted for eaters to do their thing.
I, for one, can't imagine how that must feel.

Heres my question. Could you eat 76 hotdogs in 10 hours? 10 Days? Those would both be pretty tough, I cant imagine 10 minutes.

I’ve had 4 over the course of an afternoon before and that was too many. We grilled at lunch and I had two then and a little later had the other two. I can’t imagine the amount of sodium that has to be hitting you all at once.

I'm 68 years old and not a real hot dog fan, so I'm pretty sure I haven't eaten 76 hot dogs in the last 40 years.
What I can't imagine is also eating all those buns. Especially the way they soak the hot dog and buns in water to make them go down easier. Eating a white bread product soaked in water is soooooooo unappetizing to me that I'd likely throw up after the 2nd one.
