Trust me, I am aware of the costs of running a restaurant. Few years ago, the google map image of Jacque-imo's had a Sysco truck out front. Other restaurants are spending more on the actual food they serve and charging less.

Looking at their menu and the current prices, and knowing the food they put out, this is clearly true.

A lot of "nice" restaurants use Sysco products.

No doubt but just imagine the people if the place were cheaper? There are too many people there now, they should RAISE their prices. IMHO

Thanks guys for the input.
As long as my friends are there, i'm sure we will have a good time even with the "shitty" overpriced food and the crowd.
thanks for all the recommendations and other advice though

Just go, enjoy yourself, and come up with your own opinion of the place. Everybody has different taste.

Dont go to their bar while you wait. Go next door to the maple leaf and get drinks.

I always get Jaque-Imo's name and Tujaques name confused. I was thinking this is the place we went, but now I see it's not. We went to Tujaques. My input in this thread is now useless.

id bet the vast majority of restaurants in the city get something from Sysco.

in fact It wouldnt be far fetched to say that all of them buy something from there.

they sell more than just pre made frozen food, ya know

if u like whisky (rye) then i'd recommend but if not, i'd get sumtn else. last time i went, i ordered the quail stuffed w/ fois gras and i was pretty impressed. typically the food is somwhr btw avg and above avg but fun place to drink a lot and have a good time and ive never had what i'd call a bad meal. also, i've never felt the place was overpriced....i actually think its a good value.
