No idea, but I recently got this HEPP'S Salt Chef's Collection and it's pretty damn good.

It's probably more useful to think about how it makes stuff taste, like hard water vs. soft water. I like to drop some Celtic sea salt in my workout water because it makes it taste "softer" (yeah, I can't really define what that means, that's just how I can describe it).

There are times, particularly when you're working out of sweating a lot where adding a pinch of salt to your water bottle will help your body stop "craving" more water, when what it really wants is some kind of NaCl.

But as far as food goes, it seems to be more about flake size and shape than it is whether it's from the Dead Sea, the Himalayas, etc.

My iodine levels were very low last time I had bloodwork done and I started taking kelp supplements. I couldn't figure out why my levels were so low then realized I haven't used table salt in a very long time.

My doctor says he is seeing it more and more.

ETA: What I should have said is my doctor is seeing it more because they are now testing for it routinely.

Iodine is crucial to thyroid health, thus it is crucial to your overall health.
