Apparently, it’s one of the big things going right now. I see it all the time on Food Network.
That shite does not look appetizing at all. It reminds me of when Buffalo wings first came out on the scene. Everyone was trying to make wings as hot as they could make it. You take one bite, it’s so spicy, you taste nothing but heat.

No, because it obliterates your tastebuds with the first bite.

Disclaimer: at least what I had here in FL. Perhaps it wasn't "true" Nashvillian hot chicken. It was so spicy that I might as well have been eating a sponge after one taste.

I'm a fan of delicious flavor and hot sauce in that order.

It needs to be just hot enough to get the endorphins flowing, but not so hot it ruins you. It's a fine line. Like Prince's/bolton's medium or Hattie B's hot level.

Yes. I honestly don't know if I could live my life without it.

It's kind of just chicken with a breading that includes a good kick of cayenne. You can make it as hot as you want, but often it's like wings as you said. Can be medium or burn your tastebuds hot.

It's very good but I haven't had it in the last couple years and I'm ok with that too

Is good stuff, but the “damn hot” had my nose leaking and stomach churning.

I thought it was pretty good. Mine was from Prince's in Nashville so it was authentic. Pro Tip: Get the medium. The hot keeps you from tasting anything else.

I had Rocky's in Asheville and I got the 2nd to hottest. It was damn hot but didn't destroy me.. I wanted to try the hottest but the guy warned me that the only different between what I had and the hottest was actual ghost chili extract on top of the hottest... I bowed out from that

I loved hot chicken and want it again.

And needs to have a spice blend that evokes flavor as well. When it's done right, it's delicious.

Hattie B’s is such a tourist location I was iffy on whether to try it when I went to Nashville, but my group talked me into it.

With that said, Holy shite it was some of the best fried chicken ive ever had. I got the hot with pimento mac, greens, and slaw and I was a happy camper the whole time through.

The toned down ones aren't bad. The real hot stuff isn't my thing. Tennessee likes to either not flavor stuff or make it so spicy it's stupid.
