super overrated.

this is coming from a guy who went to Prince's in 1996 and had to wait 30 minutes next door in the pawn shop while they fried it in a pan. they served this orange-looking chicken that was so freaking hot i had to wait 20 minutes just to cut into it. oh and they threw in a couple piees of white bread. whoop-de-fricking-do.

i left with red fingers and a burned tongue from eating the chicken too hot because i had to get back to work. it was absolutely forgettable.

popeyes is spicy AND TASTY. 'hot chicken' is just a gimmick. don't waste your time.

I love it and disagree with CAD's assessment. As previously mentioned, it's a fine line. Too hot and you're screwed. Better to err on the side of caution.

ETA: Also, the more ehhh "dicey" the restaurant looks, the hotter the chicken will be.
