Didn't have your #1 but agree with the rest. BBQ was good. The rest to me weren't, not bad but just nothing special. Club was decent. Appreciate the price though for sure.

The BBQ of recent years is way better than the BBQ sandwich of my teen/college years. I don't like pimento cheese or egg salad so it's what I've always gotten. It used to be mush and clearly second class - this would be a solid BBQ sandwich almost anywhere.

I have to think it probably helps that GA's bbq scene has improved by miles in that time.

Chicken biscuit with bacon, fried egg, & pimento cheese.

Let us sit for a minute so the pimento cheese warms through.

Well done.

I only had a few hours on the course Tuesday, so was only able to try the chicken biscuit, pimento cheese and egg salad.

The egg salad one was almost inedible. There was no seasoning whatsoever and it was a chore to get through.

Chicken biscuit was surprisingly good.

Pimento cheese was different and had a very creamy texture. Don't know what the recipe is, but wouldn't be surprised if they used some sour cream in it.

A buddy had the chicken salad and said there was so much chicken salad that the brioche bun was falling apart. Tasted good, but messy to eat.

Hope to try more next year.

It must be. I've been 3 times but not since 2017. The bbq sandwich then was nothing special at all. The pimento cheese however was exceptional. These were the ingredients in those days

Inflation was evident. As suggested earlier, the egg salad was the worst I have had in nearly 20 visits. The pimento was ok i guess... I didn't sample too many others. No peach ice cream sandwich. WTFFFFF!!! You could tell they had a 3 year layoff because they had a lot of supplier issues imo.

The beer was $5 (domestic, import, homebrew). Also all prices are now pretax. I don't recall them adding tax at the register in prior years, but I haven't been since 2019...

Go to Nashville then. It’s made by Christie cookies, and you can get it there. I was pleasantly surprised by this by my last visit.

Also, you’d think as elite as Augusta National is, that they’d by immune to inflation and supply chain issues

tried every sandwich on sale at the course (a few bites). I did not add any condiments because I wanted to see how each sandwich could stand on its own.

This will probably be the dumbest thing I read today. Congrats.

What's dumb about wanting to sample all the sandwiches at Augusta National during the Masters? It's very well known subject.

Here's a list of many articles on the sandwiches.

Taking little bites of 10 sandwiches and throwing the remainder away is dumb. Especially for a perineal Masters goer as this guy claims to be.

Also, choking down a dry ham sandwich, with no condiments, in order to get the true essence of the sandwich is dumb. In order to get the true essence of a sandwich you should eat it dressed as you normally eat it.

Just a dumb post all the way around in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

They are. It makes no sense that they would need to skimp on eggs as much as it costs to get in either

I've been 4 times and the ham and cheese on Rye and classic chicken are the 2 sandwiches I've never tried. Guess I will try to ham and cheese next time I go.

They also had basically a 3 year layoff, so that may have been a factor with suppliers too.

That doesn't look like the recipe put out by Golf .com. They use the following...
3 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded yellow sharp cheddar cheese
4 oz crumbled blue cheese
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 (4-oz) jar sliced pimentos, drained
1 cup light mayo
2 tbs Dijon mustard
1 loaf of white bread

It says it's from the Junior League of Augusta.
