that was terrific. I’m not anything like him but Alton really speaks to me

Thanks for posting that I would have missed it otherwise

Alton is such a cool dude. I saw him a couple of times at the Rome Termini train station about a month ago. He and his wife were trying to figure out how the hell the trains worked, so he walked by a couple of times. At first I did a double take because I wasn't sure it was him. I also hadn't slept in about 24 hours.

I went up and asked him, "Hey, are you Alton Brown." And he goes "Indeed, I am." I just said, " Awesome, " and told him to enjoy his trip. He told me safe travels.

I can see where he describes excellent caviar as censored "good pussy", I think.

Slightly salty with a background of mild fish. Perhaps a fresh Chilean sea bass sautéed in palm oil.

Worth watching.

Alton gave the commencement speech at my daughter's graduation. It was, by far, the most entertaining, most thoughtful, and best commencement speech I have ever heard.

I'm watching the Nate episode right now.

Talk about a 180 from Alston's episode.

Enjoyed them both.

On a good day, Chilean sea bass or a bad day, Patagonian toothfish.

You didn't offer to help him navigate the train system?

Don't know if it was intentional or not but the bit about "Arriving" was straight out of a Family Guy episode.

Very clever. No, a bad day would be a chum bucket from a mullet cleaning that had been on the back of the boat for a few days. Maybe a wisp of molasses tobacco spittle.

I ate at McDonald's for the first times in years the other day after watching that episode.
It wasn't horrible and the fries were perfect, but Im probably not going to eat there again for a couple more years.

Great watch, an absurd amount of food.

He must push the guests to have so much food to extend the episodes?

Some of them are 2-3 dishes per course and there's 4-5 course.

I think I'd enjoy them more if it was something like 3-4 courses: Appetizer, salad/ fruit/ cheese, main course, dessert.

One dish and like a side.

Some of the courses they had 3 wines.

I have never once encountered a fishy one. And I hope I never do.
