It's sort of a gag offering at a pot luck coming up, but where should I seek these out? Is this a cajun thing that would be found at places like Earl's, etc., or would I be better off hitting up an Asian grocer? Perhaps World Market...hmm...

It's a Cajun thing. They may also have them at a big produce market. I think I saw them at Fresh Pickins in Baton Rouge. I know I saw them at Billy's in Krotz Springs. I bet Billy's in Scott has them.

Almost any mom and pop grocery store will have them. Earls should have them as well as boudin places. I know Bourques has them.

If you want a gag offering, get a jar of pickled pigs feet for the gift. Keep the quail eggs for yourself. They are awesome.

Try Earls or Nunus first. I’m 90% sure all of the boudin stops in Scott have them. If none of those work, I think there’s an old boy down my road that still sells them. I can get the number later if you need it.

Pickled quail eggs are awesome. Eat them plain out of the jar or use them as a garnish for a Bloody Mary.

Checked today at one of the Laffy stores, nope.

I'll look around at any of the above mentioned Cajun places, perhaps Hebert's too.

They actually don't have to be pickled, so I like the idea of the Hot & Spicy.

Youngsville has them on an end-cap, near the aisle where they sell rice. Back, left side of store by the eggs and craft beer

The “hot and spicy “ are pickled. That’s the preservation method.

Just a FYI..... Restaurant Depot sells raw quail eggs if anyone wants to make their own pickled quail eggs. I want to say they sell them in 3 doz. cartons.
