The smaller the better. Folks in Louisiana don’t generally like to hear it but wild gulf oysters are good but they are about as bad as oysters get imo.

True. The off-the-bottom cultivated gulf oysters don’t suck though…these aren’t them.

Enough that the ensuing cleanse would be both epic and disruptive.

I enjoy getting the variety of species up in the Northwest. You're right, some of those small ones are wonderfully potent. They'd really go well with a few fingers of Laphroaig.

The full rows appear to be mainly in 10s across (the last full row looks like 9) plus the additional 4 at the bottom makes this approximately 168ish oysters (14 dozen). I would be good for 4 dozen or so raw but chargrill them and number goes way up. Can’t say I’ve ever filled up on chargrilled nor gotten tired of them.

This really isn’t a lot for a restaurant that has some oyster happy hour if they preshucked some which I hate when they do, but some do. Perhaps they’re preshucked to be fried or chargrilled to order too though.

3 dozen and 8 beers. No crackers. Tabasco and lemon juice only.

Went to a place in Pensacola beach that had .25 cent oysters during happy hour. After the 4th dozen they started taking about 15 minutes to bring the next batch out until happy hour ended

So probably 4-6 dozen, probably end up filling up on beer.
