My last fiancee was a business manager for a guy who owned as store as one of his businesses. She would bring home these pizzas with a ton of cheese and all the toppings we wanted and I have to admit it was miles ahead of pizza hut and other pizza chain pizzas. Man, take me back!

You taking about pizza or women? But, to me, gas station pizza is a surprising 8/10 all the time.

When it's fresh it's pretty hard to beat. When it's been sitting under a light since 6:00 yesterday afternoon it's shitty.

Me and a buddy used to order one from the gas station near work. All toppings $10. $5 for half a pizza was pretty fricking good.

You get what you pay for. It's not meant to be anything more than it is.

It’s Definitely underrated. Especially for gas station pizza.

RaceTrac pizza blows it away. Especially at the locations that will make it fresh and put out like a buffet. The one on Highland Road by Home Depot is like that.

You can get a whole large pizza made fresh for $8.99. Takes all of 6-7 minutes. Do it.

I’d say it tastes like a cross between cardboard and dog shite.

It’s absolutely terrible. Maybe a 1.5. The gas station in my neighborhood always gives them out to frequent customers when they still have a lot left and they’re about to close. They’re so bad I won’t even take them for free. Now the breakfast pizza they make is pretty good. I’d give it a 7/10 but the traditional pizzas are awful.

Nothing beats Casey's General Stores (upper plains/Iowa area), they're the king of the mountain when it comes to gas station pizza and it doesn't come close. It blows everything else out of the water.

If you order one fresh to go, they are surprisingly good. Now, they aren't better than what you would get at a good pizza restaurant, but they are better than frozen pizza and most chains.

Never had a slice that's been sitting there for hours.

If comparing it to chain/delivery pizzas:

Better than Pizza Hut.
Not quite as good as Marco’s on a consistency basis.

The one from the gas station in Iota, made to order fresh, with all the meats and banana peppers, was better than any other chain delivery place, though.

However, some Hunt Bros spots can be poorer quality.

If the gas station knows what they’re doing, it’s the best chain slice in your town. Assuming you don’t have a Johnny’s of course.
