I agree. It just makes the crawfish greasy. Throw your winnies in the water after.

I feel like the FDB is starting to devolve itself into the O-T, or worse, the Poli Board.

Manda sausage cut up into 1-2 inch hunks is very good after it soaks in the boil.

I like it in the boil as well as leftovers, grilled. I don’t eat a lot of it at a boil bc I really want crawfish. I eat corn if it’s fresh not frozen and rarely a potato unless butter is available.

Everyone has different likes.

I always do my beef only sausage and hot dogs in a separate pot because I have Adventists come to my boil that won’t eat crawfish or anything that has been in the pot with them. I load that sucker down with sausage though, makes fantastic red beans, jambalaya, or gumbo. Especially if you use other ingredients from the boil as well like onion.

No it doesn't.

How much sausage are y'all putting in your boil? 1-2 pounds per pot has absolutely no affect on the greasiness of the finished product.

Because they have taste buds?

Crawfish boil sausage is amazing. It's almost better than the damn crawfish themselves.

Never tried that. How big are the pieces when you cut the pineapple up?

some people add sausage because the oil from the sausage makes the crawfish easier to peel.

It wouldn't be a crawfish boil thread without someone claiming how "adding x" ingredient makes the crawfish easier to peel.
