How can anyone enjoy sausage in a crawfish boil

It’s anti-Cajun and doesn’t go with crawfish at all. I feel like it’s something yankees would do, but so many people seem to enjoy this delicacy.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a crawfish boil that didn’t have sausage. And I know a lot of crawfish sausage boiling coon asses.
Put a whole chicken in a pantyhose and boil it too.

I reckon because sausage tastes good. I don't really understand why this is something you would have a problem with. It doesn't change the crawfish like a seasoning or something would and you can choose whether or not to eat it.

Pretty much any meat that takes up the crawfish boil seasoning is going to be good.

Is this some kind of OT thread that ended up here?
Sausage is damn good in a boil.
And now this turns into a pissing match about what belongs in a boil or not.

some people add sausage because the oil from the sausage makes the crawfish easier to peel. they also like the flavor of the sausage after the boil as well.

I love sausage but mushrooms are a travesty.

Jesus Christ. No it doesn’t. Not being a fricking idiot and boiling them for 20 minutes does.

depends on the quality of the sausage. Some are very good with the boil seasonings. I had some terrible sausage with Fezzo's crawfish though.

Uh mushrooms are bomb. They soak up so much goodness.

Mushrooms and corn and potatoes and carrots and onions go perfectly but sausage is just random IMO and doesn’t go well.

Sausage is amazing on a hot dog bun with mustard and ketchup. Make plenty so there's leftovers for the coming days.

I agree. It's awesome...boil gives it a great taste...whats not to like

I love the sausage. I have no real reason why. It's just something I've always had when eating crawfish.
I pretty much always have and eat:
Corn
Potatoes
Mushrooms
Sausage
Garlic
Onion

Absolutely no one does this

The literal correct answer

My wife makes fun of me but one of my favorite things to do is take a potato half and rub it in a lemon. Put a piece of garlic on top and small piece of sausage on top of that and eat it in one bite.

That sounds fricking good.
