I have 2 versions of a pale ale, an English mild that needs to go, and an amber that I'm not happy with. In the fermentation chest I have a better version of an American amber and the crazy hoppy ipa. Next up will be a holiday saison to go into my barrel

Have a DIPA that's OK, but I'm not entirely happy with and a peach wheat that I really like. Also a pale ale that I really don't like at all. Probably gonna dump that one soon.

Lots of stuff on the brew schedule. All Citra IPA, pumpkin porter, imperial coffee vanilla porter to put in the barrel.

I think I am going to brew a quick simple SMaSH beer just so I can dial in my carbing and draught system. Unless there is an easier way to dial one in.

I have a praline porter fermenting away, and no plans to brew again anytime soon, with hunting season starting and all

Well I decided I'm going to do a kit saison from more beer to have in my new system. Mainly because it was cheap and I can work out any kinks in my draught system. I'm gonna follow it up with a dubbel for this fall and winter.

On Tap
DIPA - Heady Topper Clone from BYO - Good beer, but no clone.
Gose - really enjoy this one, going to be sad when the keg kicks
Berliner Weisse - don't like this one at all, but my fiancee does and refuses to let me dump it

Bulk Aging in Kegs
Sour Stout - Tart of Darkness Clone
Imperial Berliner - need to dump this one. Tastes great looks awful

In Fermenters (both for Brew at the Zoo)
Berliner Weisse with Hibiscus, Strawberries, and Lemon Zest - Very pleased with this one, should go over well with sour fans.
'White' Stout - more gold than white, good coffee aroma and flavor, may be a tad too bitter.

Just what the Louisiana homebrewing community needed, some retard got busted by the ATC for selling homemade booze through instagram.

That does not appear to be homemade alcohol though. Just appears to be homemade infusions. If I pay you for the ingredients to make some infusions, you go to the store and buy it all, then give it to me once it is infused, are you really selling me the alcohol?

You are selling alcohol without a license, but it's not homemade alcohol like the articles state.

IMO sticking fruit in watered down vodka doesn't make a liquor homemade, but who would want to let things like facts get in the way of a good headline.

quote:

"The sale of illegal homemade alcohol not only poses a threat to the health and safety of others, but is unfair to all of the alcohol businesses that follow the laws," said ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert.

But isn't selling Vanilla extract basically the same thing?

I guess a better question is "would they arrest me if I was selling homemade vanilla extract"

Nothing on tap... have a Red IPA fermenting, it's about ready for secondary, up next will be the wife's beer for Brew At The Zoo, then mine shortly after. She's going to do a PB&J beer, not set on the base style though. I'm going to do a Rosemary IPA.

Have a Barrel Aged RIS and a TropicAle on tap with nothing fermenting at the moment. Need to plan to brew something for Brew at the Zoo here pretty soon and we're really wanting to try to make a Gose.

Sounds like a good porter.. I bet Jamil's Raspberry Porter + some PB2 would get you in the ball park.

We're going to do a brown ale, so not far off, and use pureed strawberries in the keg like we did for Iron Brewer. And yes, PB2.

Has anyone bottled from a barrel? I am thinking that I will need to make a bottling bucket to use with my sour projects since I do not want to put them in a keg.

Nope, I have kegged from a barrel, but not bottled.

I'm sure it could be done with a siphon, but would get messy.

I will measure the empty bucket I have at the house to see if it is 5 gallons. I believe I have an extra spigot which I could just add to the bucket in lieu of buying a bottling bucket.

I did with a bottling bucket. Also had to suck on the tube as my autosiphon was too big for the bunghole.
