I’ve never seen that before. Turkey at Thanksgiving needs to go. I’d much rather have Prime Rib or literally anything else.

We've been known to do both prime rib and turkey

Even when cooked correctly, Turkey is a substandard protein.

Meh. Prime rib is for the poors hitting the buffets at receptions and casinos. LOL
I will take a nice moist turkey any day or a good fried one

No such thing.

It can be more moist than normal, but it's still a dry piece of meat. Especially the breasts.

The only good thing about a thanksgiving turkey is the gumbo a couple days later.

Turkey sandwiches are pretty good too. You gotta slather on the mayo thick though

Turkey tenderloins are great on the grill if you can find them, marinate them with whatever you like, throw them on the grill for a little while let them get some color and smoke, wrap them in foil with some of the marinade and cook to 165. Comes out moist and tender.

Than you are doing it wrong.

And I normally cook both turkey and standing rib at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lot of the ladies want the turkey.

Love me some turkey, whenever I can get it. Maybe our turkeys are dry and maybe they ain't. They are always good and juicy. Hopefully they have dressing and jelly cranberry sauce.

Then that night they devote all of their being to turkey sandwiches.

Given a chance I have the wife cook one for us two or three times a year, separate from Thanksgiving.

Insert dancing bananas in excitement for the potential of turkey soon.

gelatinous canned cranberry sauce. Cranberry sauce is not meant to consumed in centimeter thick round slices with a fork.

Just stop.

Well that's just flat out wrong. I can't even carve my smoked turkey on a cutting board it's so moist. Has to be done in a pan.

Excessive shopping at Christmas.

My least favorite holiday. Supposed to be a celebration of the guy who gave us the beatitudes, and instead we get assholes clogging up the road so they can spoil their children with shite they don’t need. Supposed to be a time for families to come together and have down time without any worries, and we fricked it up with holiday shopping.

Edit - Didn’t realize I was on the FDB. Point still stands.
