I think you might be confused. Soys are typically pro mask...not anti.

A soy boy incessantly whines. In other words, I’m not confused

Sounds awesome.

So how does the ticketing work? You pay for a ticket to get in, then the food and drink is al a carte from the booths?

Ticket to get in, and pre loaded RFID wristbands to pay for beer and food. Expect to spend at minimum $30-$40 inside and closer to $75-$100 if you're hanging out all afternoon drinking and listening to music.

I can't wait for the bitching about the wrist bands.

Like most events/festivals in NOLA, they start out great and fun, and then turn into a crowded disaster

Hogs is this. I guess I am a hipster when it comes to festivals

ETA: The Hogs people are great and cool dudes. Just dont enjoy it anymore

I'm not sure how we can reach a "crowded disaster" with 25% capacity.

I still very much enjoy Hogs, but I missed the mask part...

There's zero chance I wear a mask to an outdoor event -- June or not.

Yep. Weather was perfect in Disney. in the 60s and beautiful. Wearing a mask outside in that was absolutely miserable to me. Could not imagine in June

By June rules may change. Right now I expect it has to be there or else there will be lots of kickback.

What constitutes a mask in plaquemines would impress you.

Just walk around balestras for an hour.

You all will be fine.

So $70 to get in to hear some mediocre bands and you still have to buy your food and drinks..... I'm out.

Proceeds go to families with children who have brain cancer. If spending a little more than I’m comfortable with means helping a struggling child, I’m okay with it.

It’s a fun event, but this year will probably be a lot different, so I’m reserving judgment until after. Also, Old Crow and Robert Randolph are great live.

I just spent practically an entire year without being able to do stuff like this. I applaud the organization for being bold enough to plan this. It sounds like a great time all for a great cause.

Right. I’ve spent that little amount on entertainment in almost a full year. Live music, BBQ, women. Just take my damn money
