Is Social off everyone’s list?

I think it's a great place to have drinks, but there's many places in Lafayette Parish I'd prefer if looking strictly at best food. That said, I don't think the food is bad by any stretch, and if you're looking for a good time with a group, then Social is a pretty good choice.

If you’re coming out to Scott for fried seafood, go to Uncle T’s. Fezzos has some other good dishes, but for fried seafood, Uncle T’s is much better.

I hit the one in broussard...but noted on Uncle Ts

Arguably, the best C&S gumbo in the city. Great stuff
This is what I've heard, so I decided to try it about a month ago, since I had a friend coming over. I ordered the large gumbo and brought it home to split. There were exactly two pieces of chicken thigh and one...yes only ONE...coin of andouille sausage. We laughed as I had to cut the coin in half so we could each taste it and we joked about how much sausage would come in the small. Obviously, the person serving it didn't perform a proper stir lol. The broth was very tasty, but the dish was a complete rip off. I wanted to call the next day but didn't want to be "that guy". I may try them again.

I been hitting up this small mexican hole in the wall called La Papa Loca on cameron street. I love their street tacos and quesadillas. They just opened up a larger brick and mortar on Johnson near Daq Supreme that is much nicer.

oh yes, but their green sauce is perfect heat! I always tend to get the el pastor tacos. I didn’t know they were open that early, that’s like perfect hangover food on a Sunday morning!

You need to hit up Patacon (Venezualan) on Bertrand across from Deano's.

Seriously. Order a patacon with the meat of your choice.

Might be life changing.

I'm in Laffy about once a month for work. The Chris's Special at Chris's Poboys is the only thing I HAVE to get whenever I'm in town. You can just go get a half for a snack or go for lunch. It's hard to be disappointed. If you want shrimp or meatball poboy go to Olde Tyme.

Have you eaten outside Laffy?! It’s good no doubt but slightly overhyped.

Ordered a bowl to go last night. It was spot on as usual. Plenty of chicken and sausage. Your mileage may vary. I also saved 15% by switching to GEICO.
