Just to remind you, Mosca's is cash only, no debit or credit cards accepted, and Fridays are pretty busy.

ETA: What kind of person downvotes a post giving a heads-up on the fact Mosca's only takes cash. You surely don't want to drive there without enough cash to pay for your meal and drinks because it's not close to a lot on Hwy. 90.

An Uber to Mosca’s on a Friday night will run you $30+ from the quarter plus a 45min commute. Like others said it’s best to go with a group.

If you’re set on Italian sit at the bar at Vincent’s.

Mosca’s is a place to go for a trip down memory lane but the food isn’t great. You can go to 10 places with as good or better Italian in the New Orleans area. And you don’t have to drive in the middle of the nowhere.

I went to Mosca's last week. We had a very enjoyable dinner but I would not go out of my way to get there if my hotel was within walking distance to the French Quarter.

Here's the Vincent's menu. I'm sure you can find something of interest if you don't go to Mosca's. Don't miss the cannelloni.

Man, you are going to get your head cut off for posting this.

I thought it was ok, but agree that it's not worth the hype. It's a small shack in a crap hole area charging French Quarter prices.
I could get over all of that, but the cash only policy pisses me off.

Mosca’s isn’t anything special. It’s one of those places that people like for nostalgia/sentimental reasons, but the food itself is mediocre.

Went there. okay at best. won't go back.

Parran's in Metairie was a friggin disaster. Tea was old, poboy wasn't dressed properly, they brought out the eat in order as a to go and brought out the to go as eat in. WTH!? Got the poboys in the bag and dropped in one each condiment for two sandwiches.

The sandwiches got thumbs down from the eaters. Place sucks. Whomever recommends them PLEASE STOP.

There are probably 25 po-boy places in New Orleans and another 5 in Metairie that are better than the place he chose.
