Has anyone ever heard of a restaurant called the Varsity in Atlanta GA?

Just discovered a gem in downtown Atlanta. It’s a place called The Varsity. The hot dogs are really good and the environment is like a nostalgia diner type place.
Will be returning to gain more weight on my way out of atlanta

I think TulaneLSU included it in a thread of Top 10 hotdogs in Fulton County.

Wow, only the most famous restaurant of its ilk in the SE US.
For a much more "hidden" gem with a similar type of menu try the Beacon Drive-In in Spartanburg SC.

My first experience with The Varsity, when I moved to ATL over 20 years ago, was getting told to go to the back of the line because I didn't have my order ready.

I found it overrated. But that’s what happens when people tell you how great it is nonstop the entire time I was in Atlanta.
