My wife scratched my good omelette pan. Not super expensive (~$60), but I loved that thing, babying it, hand washed, etc. only pan I was able to flip things using the pan (no spatula. I've had this thing for 5+ years.

What are you asking? If you should divorce or beat your wife because she scratched a pan?

Good question! I buy the cheap $20 ones because I know it is inevitable that some careless jerk in my house will scratch the ever-loving-shite out of a non stick pan. IMHO it is your fault for buying the pan and expecting your wife not to scratch it. She is, after all, only human!

Best pan for an omelette is a cheap non-stick that can be trashed and replaced after a few years. Anything more than a $15 Walmart special non-stick is overkill.

I got one of those red copper skillets at Target and it's great for eggs.

And if she reads this thread she might dent that good omelet pan with your head.

I'm sure it's super non stick, but I'm guessing you could probably scratch it with a rubber spatula.

It's like the high dollar cookware Le Creuset and the cheaper look a like stuff. The cheaper stuff works great until you scratch it, because the surface is so much thinner than the good stuff.

Spanking.

If you do it right, she'll scratch it again in a few days.

divorce may be a bit extreme, try hitting her with the pan a few times and she will get the message.

$60 for a new pan, or half of your wealth to divorce?

Dumb poster/dumb thread.
