Proof that all chains are not bad by definition.

Some nights you get the chain feel at the Metry Ruth's. Food is still good but you get all the baws who think a fishing shirt is dressy.

love a good steak, however i dont need a stick of butter on top of it like Ruths does.

i always get it with no butter. the cuts are good enough to stand alone by itself, dont need an extra 500 calories of butter

Can't say I've seen too much of that, and I even go during happy hour

You don't go to Ruth's to count calories. OP, get the butter.

Go with the filet medium rare Pittsburged (seared on both sides)

I hear you. Ruths would not be my choice in Atlanta or Savannah with so many other options, but the food is good and consistent.

Our reservations are for 630. I see happy hour ends at 630 so we're planning to show up 15 mins before and hang by the bar.

Thanks for the suggestions all, I'll report back later tonight.

They bumped the price up from $8 per item to $9 sometime in the last few months, but it's still a really good deal IMO. Steak sandwich is delicious, and they have some decent, albeit kind of girly, cocktails on the happy hour price. I usually just get an old fashioned though since they make good ones there.
