Fried sweetbreads are excellent. Their bourbon selections are vast.

Will they do by the glass, or bottle only for the wine?

The wine list is really nice

I usually bring a bottle from my collection in a purchase a bottle though. You can drop a lot of money on vine there.

Yes, but their wine list is excellent and the pricing is quite good on the bottles.

I just looked at the website and that's probably the way to go. They must have one hell of a cellar

One of my favorites. I call it the Galatoire's of uptown. The owner takes wine very seriously, so they have a great wine list. They smoke, then fry the soft shell crabs the way they used to do it at Christian's. Since Christian's is gone, this version is the best in town mow.

I am walking distance to Clancy's. I will have to do the soft shell on my next visit.

Get the bread pudding. Split it if there are 2 of you. It's massive.

I always get the sweetbreads for app. and the smoked softshell for entree. I'm sure everything is very good but I can't bring myself to stray away from those two stellar items.

Every time I order the oysters with brie, I think there is too much brie for the oysters. The brie flavor overpowers the oysters for me.

Have to agree with this. While first few bites are tasty it is a HHHEEAAAVVVYYYY dish. And if you have apps/salad/etc first your gonna struggle to really enjoy it.

Fun fact though: You can order a half order of the risotto as a side item. I did that with the veal chop entree on my last visit.
