Albertsons brand is legit. It's 4.99 and usually on sale for 3.99. The rustic pepperoni is my go to

We don't buy frozen pizza but Costco has a 4 pack for like $14.

Not frozen but last week I picked up a couple of Costco store made pizzas, pepperoni and a meat pizza. Baked in the right pan these were as good as delivery. Nice crust and delicious!

Anyone ever fold up the totinos and dip it in ranch?
Also, has every college kid at one time been woken up at 3am passed out on the couch from the smoke alarm going off because you threw the totinos in when you got home and forgot about it. Lol

this. Except it was hours later, and the pizza disintegrated into a jelly like substance all over the bottom of the oven.

The Sam's Choice rising crust pizzas are virtually the same as Digiorno for about half the price. Also, the Walmart pizzas, the ones that aren't frozen and are near the deli are really good as well.

Digiorno is closely approaching $10 a box as is the California Pizza Kitchen brand. Tombstone is a little cheaper at 7 dollars or so. What's the endgame for these frozen pizza brands when a takeout from Pizza Hut, Papa John's and Domino's are basically neck and neck with pricing?
Living out beyond the Boondocks I keep a few frozen pizzas stocked up. There's not a pizza joint within 20 miles of me (and that's down a ROUGH, winding, 2-lane highway, could add several hundred dollars car repairs to the price of a pizza). Usually make my own from scratch, but there are times a person wants/needs "quick and easy".
Sam's usually has DiGiorno for around 3 pack for $12 and then adds their own snail mail coupons on top at $1/per pizza off making them $3/each. Also the local/regional grocery stores have them seasonally (usually sports related times) for about the same $4 each and other brands under that. Gotta catch those sales and stock up.
When one is exhausted, feeling off, had a really bad day, etc., a frozen pizza can be handy.

I always end up burning the bottom of the pizza when I cook frozen pizzas. I guess I should let them thaw, but that kind of defeats the purpose of them. More dishes to clean, also. I dont see the advantages of a take home, cook it yourself pizza.

too expensive. Can get the two topping large carryout from Domino's for $7.99.
Go on the app, request well done pizza, change the sauce to marinara or white and you actually get a decent pizza.

That's odd. They specifically say not to thaw. Just put directly on oven rack and cook according to directions. Does your oven run hotter?

I'm betting it coincides with the rise in delivery prices from your delivery pizzas. How long ago did Dominos, Papa Johns, etc. start charging a flat ~$2 delivery charge? I bet the frozen pizza makers saw that and raised prices and make sure they remained a cheaper option to the delivery pizzas.

Agreed about delivery, but plenty of the national chains have takeout deals that are cheaper than $10.
But the takeout deal requires you to get off your arse or order in advance. Having a couple frozen pizzas in the freezer, if that's your thing, opens up a spur of the moment option

Could also put on thin cookie sheet/baking pan. For self rising crust/thicker crust edge types use a size smaller sheet than the pizza so the thickest pasts of crust hang over edge. All else fails: Aluminum foil facsimile of baking pan (couple feet of foil folded over a few times).
Scorched crust spots are really a sign of nearly perfectly cooked though. Dark brown = good, black = eh, well, Honey? We got any peanut butter left?

Where the frick do you shop? Your prices are 2-3 dollars too high on most mentioned.

Digiorno for 10 bucks? Are you using instacart or something?
