Gimme Some Oven Fried Rice
There’s some very good advice in this recipe. I love fried rice because the options to mix things up are endless. Follow the basics and it will hit every time. Crispy pork belly is probably my favorite meat to add.

One of the keys is day-old cooked rice

One tip is marinade the pork.. Like they do for Chinese BBQ pork.. Cut up the pork into bite size pieces and marinade 24 hours..

There are so many variations of fried rice ranging from simple to complex.
I’ve only fried rice in a pan and mostly wok. Not sure about blackstone. Here’s are some basic guidelines I follow:
1. Prep the ingredients in advance
2. Get good seasoning. Chicken bouillon powder(I prefer this over salt since it has a nice flavor), soy sauce/dark soy sauce from Asian store, and Good oyster sauce.
3. Rice at room temp or cold to prevent clumping.
A simple version I like to do is egg fried rice. Oil/lard, scrambled eggs, chopped garlic, rice, chicken bouillon, chopped green onions for garnish.
A intermediate level that I like to Chinese sausage fried rice. Oil/lard, diced Chinese sausage, diced onions, carrots, garlic, scrambled eggs, peas, rice, bouillon, soy sauce, oyster sauce. Finish off with drizzle of sesame oil. The good thing is that if you’re a beginner, You can cook the items separately meat, egg, veggies, rice. Then combine before finishing it with the seasoning.

Just remember, Uncle Roger says there's no such thing as too much MSG.

Number one key is dry cooked rice. Rice cooked day before and dried out some in fridge.
Also you really need MSG and good soy sauce. I have multiple soy sauces and use a dark and light for my rice. I also put a little oyster sauce in it.
You really can't go wrong. Onions, rice, protein veggies, an egg or two and soy sauce and seasoning. White pepper if you want.

Yes.. I use all the ingredients with the exception of the wine only because I keep forgetting to get it at the grocery... It really does add a great flavor to the fried rice...
And a shout out to Rouse's for stepping up on their Asian spices and having Bok Choy available... But they stopped carrying Chines five spice and the large bag of Le Choy fried noodles... Boo on that... But there is a big Asian market near Vets and Severn that I have to pay a visit to soon...

I order most my stuff on Amazon. Then I have a cabinet for just Asian stuff with all my Chinese, Korean and Indian spices and bottles.
Black vinegar and sweet rice vinegar are also nice to have. Chinese cooking wine and Japanese mirin wine also add to the meat.
My favorite is simple ground pork stir fry.
Oyster sauce is disgusting by itself but adds so much to every dish.

LOL.. I have a thing where I smell anything that I am adding to food that I might a suspicion about.. With Oyster sauce I don't know if it is bad or good..
I haven't purchased anything from this place but the prices seem to be good and has a big variety. WEEE .

In Baton Rouge there is a large Asian Sipermarket at the corner of Florida Blvd and Sherwood Forest. It has so much stuff it can be overwhelming.
