If you’re ok with boogers in your sliced ham or tepid water slowly dripping on your tuna then have at it baw.

I’ll hold out for something better.

I’ve been in the restaurant/grocery business for damn near 20 years. It’s funny that you apparently think things are immaculate save for one Fresh Market.

Congrats...sounds like your part of the problem

If it is your local market that you frequent often, then you tell them nicely about the problem. Give them a chance to make it right.

Awesome attitude.

You could start with your restaurant...but that sounds like too much work for you. Sad.

I can tell you really care, especially the part about immediately leaving the store and not letting an employee know so someone else could get bad meat.

Keep doing this little crusade though

Deals look great

I like fresh market - although I’ve never had any of their cooked food

my friend has been telling me she likes the crab cakes at FM.

They carry two kinds of crab cakes. The regular ones and the ultimate. The ultimate have a ton of lump crabmeat and are very good.

A friend of mine is the GM of a large pest control company, they specialize in commercial sites. He alludes to their "secret list" of restaurants and grocery stores to avoid, based on what they see when they make their rounds. Of course they also have a list of the ones they like.

He won't show me this alleged list, however, when we go to lunch I will suggest a place, he says "no", sometimes "No way in hell", then he will suggest an approved alternative. But, according to him, the vast majority of eateries are cleaner than the average home kitchen.

As they say, shite happens, just wash your hands afterwards.

Rouses

A few months ago I noticed mold growing all over some packages of cubed cheese on two visits in a row. This was over a two week period on a display counter set up so someone was putting these out and taking them down and didn't even think about throwing it away.

shite happens. Our boy throwing a fit about this probably eats fast food and thinks nothing about the gross crap that's going on in the back there.

The deal was very good. The steak was very nice. Did the method of salting an hour or so before and letting it air dry on a rack in the fridge.

We did the filet and sea bass... it was the perfect amount of food, super easy/delicious and for everything we got, I thought it was an amazing deal. So glad I saw your post in time to order it!

I pump up Fresh Market on this page because I shop there a lot, due to having a son who works there when he's home from school.

Fresh Market has good deals during the week, as well. There "Little Big Meal" is pretty good - right now, it's Chicken Parmesan. Twenty bucks and feeds 4. I believe this special is at all Fresh Markets. I'm not sure about the other specials.

Here, in Indianapolis, they also have $5 take and bake pizzas on certain days, $5 rotisserie chickens on certain days, and other ready made meals that are pretty reasonable. I know I used to not shop there much, because I thought it was very expensive, but if you shop their sales, they can be competitive with other markets regular prices and the quality is generally better than at most markets.

I almost grabbed it yesterday, but I decided to try a new one of those meal delivery kits for a few weeks so didn't want it to go to waste.

Now that there's a good chance my box will be delayed due to weather, I'm wishing I got it. But I agree it is an killer deal. Last time I got it, the meal was these massive stuffed burgers. Fed us for 2 days.

Agree. I am finding this to be the case at both Fresh Market and Whole Foods. Both can be cheaper than my regular store depending on what I get.

Also I don't know about yours, but our Fresh Market is rarely packed. Yesterday was the busiest I've ever seen it and still nowhere near the madhouse that Whole Foods can be.
