It really is absurd the cost of beer on tap at a brewery. You are taking a 500% mark up from cost for many of them.

My opinion is too many local breweries go out there with wild flavors instead of also having 4-5 just good drinkable beers.

I like all beer, stouts to Kolsch to double IPA to Belgian ales. The price and the fact that every brewery has 8 IPA’s on tap but maybe 2 dark beers, and by that I mean a red, kolsch, stout, porter, etc

But overall I just thing the trend has gone through a cycle and the cost and excitement has worn out.

It’s still around. Especially in my neck of the woods.

New England/juice flavored IPAs.

I like the added options. I’m drinking more juicy/sours when it’s hot and I’m on the water.

For me it was the countless number of new breweries that were popping up everywhere. Nothing about it felt unique or microbrewery about it. The same vapid vibe pretty much no matter where you are.

I appreciate the options. I like good beer though.

The benefit I’ve seen with the New England and ‘session’ ipas is they are lower alcohol. Back in my 20s I preferred high alcohol beers to get better bang for my buck. But now I’m
not looking to get drunk and usually driving with my kids, so 2-3 lower alcohol beers is usually my preference. Two 10-12% double ipas and I shouldn’t drive for a bit

Same here. I think "craft beers" have more flavor than the rice adjunct mass-produced beers, so I prefer the craft route. I guess that I am still "into" craft beer because I prefer it over the BMC domestic stuff.

If you like to drink Mic Ultra, etc., then drink it. You like what you like. Every beer drinker should drink what they think is good and not follow a trend.

Nope, WCIPA is one of my favorite beers and there has been a significant increase in different breweries putting out some damn good WCIPA brews across the spectrum. I'm glad about the resurgence. The super sweet big stouts etc, no matter how long they are aged, taste like shite to me. Not a fan of the vanilla, lactose, etc.

Racer 5
Stone Ruination IPA
Green Flash palate wrecker

These 3 are the best west coast IPAs ever produced in my opinion.

Have you had Gigantic’s IPA or Breakside’s Wanderlust IPA?

Both out of Portland. Those are 2 of my favorites.

I’m still a Craft beer drinker and home brewer. I’ll grab an IPA occasionally but I’ve been drinking mostly lagers lately. If I’m in NOLA I’m stopping by Parleaux, Brieux Carre, Saint X, and/or ecology. All produce fantastic lagers.

NEIPAs are just too filling for me.

I don’t drink nearly as much as I used to and I feel much better. Usually just a few beers on the weekend and 0 or 1 during the week.

I'll be honest. Craft beer was banned by my HOA about 3 years ago out of an abundance of caution. Ive never looked back.

I still drink it every now and then, I just prefer a good cold American Lager most of the time. Whenever I was homebrewing I'd gotten to where I was brewing rice lagers for the most part. It's easier and about the same price to just buy them.

I mostly drink High Life, Coors, and Miller Lite. I'll grab a 6er of Paradise Park every now and then.

I sort of got into it when we had local breweries popping up. I'm in the Birmingham suburbs, but I used to work downtown. Good People was right by a large public park and next to our minor league baseball stadium. Great location for a work outing or just hanging out before a baseball game. Avondale, Trim Tab, and Cahaba were also nearby. Ghost Train had some of my favorites, but they are closed for now. Not sure if they'll try to make a comeback, they've been shut down for almost a year or so. The novelty of it at first was great. Go hangout, try different beers, get a crowler/growler, or cans/bottles to go of something you liked.

Now that I don't work downtown anymore, I just try different ones that Publix or Walmart carries. I like the more traditional hazy IPA, but some go a little far with the juice factor. I got some Tropical IPA from Avondale last week. If I'm just having one it is fine, but more than that it gets to be too juicy.

I'm still "into" craft beer in that I mostly buy craft beer. But I don't care about limited releases and such. So maybe I just like IPAs and local breweries.

Some seem annoyed by the existence of craft breweries, which I think is weird. They're the closest American equivalent to a pub IMO, especially outside of the few East Coast cities that still have dense local bar scenes.

Love a hoppy IPA, Stouts and Porters, love em. Had regular delivery of Parrish and Great Raft products right to the front door.

Hit 52, 53 and despite exercising started to get a beer gut. So they had to go, still will have a few if I'm somewhere with good beer but for football games, the beach its now an exciting Truly.

Too expense and I could drink more than 4 without feeling really full and miserable. Much happier drinking wine and bourbon
