Food Show with Tom Fitzmorris - New Saturday time on WWL

No longer from 12-3 on Saturday. Saturday's show is now 2-4 on 870 WWL, same radio station.

I haven't listened in a while. Hes not on for my drive home anymore now that I get off at 2:30.

I listened to his show yesterday on my way home from work. Its pure crap. Just a series of advertisements for various restaurants in the city, and him begging for people to call. Then, when someone finally does, he treats them with complete indifference.

L's website now lists a car-talk show from 12-2. Looks like it is a national show, which in turn may mean that it's paid programming. Which means TF gets to move. Won't be the first time.

I'll never forget coming back from GI one Sunday during a Super Regional. He was crying about having to get off the air so some kids could play a "silly baseball game" and he couldn't talk about Antoine's for another hour.

Getting close to Thomas Keller's birthday. One of my favorite Tom Tropes is to discuss Thomas Keller's "French Laundry" as the hot spot amongst all the people who don't really enjoy food. And how he will try it out sometime when all the hype dies down.

And, the most amazing thing was the boviating one's admonition that if you had a negative comment about a restaurant, you could not mention the actual name of the establishment. Yet, during one of the 2 phone calls that occurred during the 90 mins while I was listening, a caller mentioned the name of a place (in a non-critical reference), and the fat arse interjects, "oh that place is not that good." So, my guess is that this "place" is not an advertiser?!? What a fat freaking hack and an embarrassment to the culinary scene of N.O.
