Food item that you recently found that you would like others to know about...
Posted by Jax-Tiger on 9/19/17 at 10:49 am00
I've been eating the hell out of these...
Mama Lil's Kick Butt Peppers
They are not too hot, but do have a little kick to them - they are extremely flavorful. They are great on pizzas, sandwiches, salads, tacos, in casseroles, sauces, etc...
Order directly from their website, and it's 8 bucks for a 12 oz. jar. If you order on Amazon, it's $19/jar. Since they are made in Portland, I find them at my local Costco for $7.99 for a 32 oz jar. They are addicting.

Had one of those on a United flight. Did not heat it up with my coffee but it is definitely a great little snack

Rookie mistake. They're amazing in the morning after a couple of minutes on top of the cup.

Seriously Korean...Bibim Gochujang Sauce
Great on rice and gravy, a little goes a long way. Very spicy, very tangy very good.
Also good for adding spice and depth to whatever it is you're cooking, mixed with honey it's great on ribs and wings.

Amazon. I get Daelman's.
Colatura It's a fish sauce that you only need a few drops to include in your dish, that gives your Italian cooking a deeper, richer, more savory flavor that you can't specifically put your finger on.

I saw this sauce in the grocery store a few weeks ago and decided to buy it. I used it for some pulled pork sandwiches. Tossed the pulled pork in it and it was very good. It's a thinner sauce which I like with pulled pork and brisket. It's also has a nice bite.
There are other sauces in the link below. I haven't tried those. I saw a few others on the shelf, but probably not all of them.

Bluegrass soy sauce, its aged in bourbon barrels. They have it on the table at Mopho. I ordered some after trying it.

Lillie's white BBQ sauce isn't bad either.

You got the mild ones, you pussy...
Actually, I don't think there's that much difference. I have a 12 oz bottle of the hot ones and a 27 oz bottle of the mild ones, and both cost the same thing: $7.99. Costco sells the 27 oz bottle, but only the mild ones.
Those things are awesome. Sammiches, pizza, salads, or just take a spoon and eat 'em out of the jar. That's the best condiment in Portland.
