It's bar food. It's not that hard. If you are that worried about it get a burger, you can't really screw up a burger that bad.

I love the Black Jack Chicken sandwich. Two breasts on that sucker.
The tuna salad is very good. As is Zydeco salad.
Buffalo chicken wrap, venison chili nachos, cheese fries (with banana peppers!) all good.

I like their firecracker shrimp po’boy.
No one will ever confuse Walk-On’s with fine dining, but the hate for their food is completely irrational. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t pretty damn good even if not the best deal. I doubt there is any item on their menu that is the best version of that item in BR, but there’s also nothing that isn’t solid.

Exactly. It's not the best version of what you've ever had, but it's better than a lot of places and what you want with beer and watching games.

Devils on horseback, Cajun quesadilla (Cajundilla I think it’s called), and the loaded cheese fries are all good. I usually get the stuffed burger.

Never had a bad anything at WalkOns. It’s criticized without legitimate reason as far as my experiences.

It is criticized because for the first half decade of its existence it was wretched and the owners admitted that. That's why they finally hired an executive chef.

It's fine for what it is. Like others have said, it's bar/sportsbar food. Don't outkick your coverage in what you order and you'll be fine.

Only problem Walk ons has is service and ticket time for the dining room. Just sit at the bar and enjoy the food. It's actually pretty good. They usually have a burger of the month that's pretty good. And the jalapeño one on the regular menu is always good. Waffle cheese fries are good. Black jack chicken sandwich or wrap is good.

bar food nothing great, I use to love their cheese fries but they tweaked them and the cheese they use is no longer as spicy and taste like every other generic cheese fries

Also, I get buffalo sauce on the side for my blackjack sandwich, and pou it on, and I get grilled chicken on the cheese fries and again buffalo sauce on the side to go next level.
