Hello, I've posted before about food and drinks recs for Austin, Tx, and I'm back again for more recommendations in Atlanta. I'll be around the virginia highland area. Location does not matter too much, just trying to find some good eats.

*I already have Umi on my list*.

Thanks in advance

Brunswick stew at the Brick Store is legit and their beer selection is top notch. Great atmosphere as well

Just watched Andrew Zimmern do one of his Zimmern's List shows on Atlanta. He went to Ponce City Market, Gunshow, General Muir deli and a couple other places

Two Urban Licks is close to Virginia Highlands and I've always found it to be consistent. Staplehouse, Gunshow, and Miller Union are all great foodie type spots. One of my favorite spots was Highland Tap which is downstairs from Fontaines at Virginia/Highland. It's a steakhouse but they have a great old school bar with padded leather arm rail, make great martinis, and the burger is excellent. Decatur has some great spots and is very walkable but probably not worth the travel if you're already pretty central.

That's considered Dunwoody?
If you are on the east side of Dunwoody, that would be a pretty good ride. Probably better places to go by going just a bit further.

Don't get me wrong, I like Joey D's.

Not really a lot in Dunwoody that's good, but you have Buford Highway super close and there are a million great restaurants on it.

I’ll be about 10 miles from Buford Highway. Family lives by Mount Vernon/Vermack. What are some of the good restaurants on Buford?
