Why are you blaming them, did you not look at the menu before you ordered? The prices are right there. Could have easily done without the fries or drink. If you ate all that you probably felt like shite this afternoon.

Yeah five guys gives you an absurd amount of fries. I haven't been to either in a while, but RR's fries suck hard as I recall.

To be fair, this is just as bad as the Twin Peaks "man size or girl size?" beer bullshite.
Five Guys' standard burger is a double patty burger. The burger that would be considered standard pretty much everywhere else is called the "little burger". This is not an accident. Most people see that and assume it is a kiddie thing.
Look at that and tell me it isn't set up that way on purpose. They want people who have never been there to assume the little burger is the kid shite.
Five Guys doesn't make me puke on command or whatever other weird things people have said on here, but I can get a 10x better burger, with fries or onion rings, and a drink at Mason's or Chelsea's for the same price if not cheaper. Mason's Bacon Cheeseburger with fries is $8.75 + $2.00 for drink.. and I think they do an awesome job with their burger.

A question about what? There isn't a kid's menu on there. Any normal person would assume the normal burger is normal sized and the little burger is kid sized.
Now that I know better, I get the little one. But that thing is way bigger than any kid can eat. Is there a kid's menu hiding somewhere else or something?
A lot of thought goes into how menus are set up. People have posted articles about it here. If you don't think that menu is set up the way it is to get more people to choose the standard burger, I don't know what to tell you.

The menu literally said "Bacon Cheeseburger". Says that on my receipt as well. It also had what I assumed was a kids menu because it said "Little". I thought Little meant its for kids.
No where was the word "Double" there.
I didn't choose to go there, we were there for work. I ordered what I thought was a standard Bacon Cheeseburger/Fries/Drink.

I would not assume they'd have an entire section like that devoted to kid's sized burgers. They'd be the first place to have that to my knowledge.

So I'm supposed to ask a restaurant if their menu item labeled literally, "HAMBURGER", is a double hamburger? What? That is not the norm and no one would ever think to ask that.

ETA: Ahhh, so you mean adding bacon. I see how that constitutes a ton of options. I bet you could order a Happy Meal burger with bacon.

Damn. Where is this location? Prices are much cheaper.
Regular fries at the one I went to(uptown Dallas) were $3.49. Bacon Cheesebuger $7.89. That's uptown Dallas for you.

You got upsold without even knowing it. They should designate the "little" burger as a single like Company Burger. That's bullshite, but they probably makea bunch of money off it.

McDonald's pricing ? The quality is just as bad that's why they cover it up w/ all kind of condiments so you can't figure that part out. 5 guys is terrible, just go to Whataburger/Sonic et al..., you'll get the same shite.

Went to Drusilla Seafood for lunch. Stuffed Flounder, with crabmeat and a creamy caper sauce, roasted red potatoes a salad and free hush puppies was $17 after tax (I had water).
Almost spending that on a burger in a place like 5 guys is a ripoff.

Well, it wasn't "just a burger." And you're leaving out the tip and drinking water instead of something with an actual taste (inb4fatjoke).
The only thing missing form your post was you saying you could make better at home for cheaper.
