Five Guys is definitely over hyped. I guess the simple, plain decor is suppose to imply all their attention is focused on the burgers. They need to focus harder.

a burger not cooked temperature is not worth eating. That being said, way too many places do not know how to cook to temperature.

Burgers are good. Fries are meh.
Not a huge fan of receiving a soggy paper bag full of fries. You order a small and you get a pound of fries.

Their meat is flavorless and usually over fried to the point that the ends are burnt and crispy. The slice of tomato is the only decent tasting thing on the burger and it overpowers the taste of the meat. The cheese is processed "cheese food." It's garbage.

I went to 5 Guys once. Overrated, but not bad by any means. A little better than your typical fast food burger, but people go apeshit over it for some reason

Nut seriously I think the reason for this is because of how simple it is. Everything is made to order and people love being able to control exactly what comes on their food
