I was out walking during lunch today and saw a banner by the old Pelican House announcing it was the future location of The Fiery Crab. Never heard of it, is it good?

No. The name alone should tell you.

Fiery Crab = some damn yankee restaurant that thinks you just need to dump huge amounts of pepper in everything and you got the right to call it a cajun cuisine restuarant

I went grab lunch today and there was not 1 car at the one in Lafayette. I guess they closed.

I've ridden my motorcycle to many rallies around the country and run into a bunch of restaurants claiming to be authentic "Cajun" food establishments and most of them are full of crap.
They toss some Tony Chachere's and some Tabasco in their food and call it Cajun.

Wife and I were driving somewhere this week and passed another building with a Fiery Crab banner/sign strung out front. I think it was where Zoroona was on Siegen?

I always laugh when r/food on Reddit does this exact thing.

The one here is not a "Yankee", she's an 'Asian' (not sure if Viet/Thai/Laos). Read the Yelp comments if they didn't get rid of them, you'll laugh your arse off.

Got a case of it in the 80s after spring break. Very painful.
