Fiery Crab(Lafayette) expanding to BR and Lake Charles

How is that even possible? The one in Lafayette is apparently terrible, about once every few months I like to drop by their Facebook to read the post from customers, it's so bad that they disabled the review feature shortly after opening.
Looks like they may have two locations in Baton Rouge and one in Lake Charles in the works.

I'm convinced these are money laundering fronts

Those are some pretty bad reviews.
I've been twice and enjoyed it both times. Admittedly, the spices and seasoning is a little different than traditional Cajun seafood restaurants we are used to, but still good.
If you go out for crabs in Baltimore, you find a lot less cayenne, and mostly Old Bay.
Granted all I've had there is the crabs, shrimp, and mussels. Never had the gumbo.
Your mileage may vary.

It appears OG Noonie and Mrz Trina were absent the day that the basics of the English language and grammar was taught in school.

Who drives from Br to go to the Fiery Crab?

Let's be honest here. The place might be absolute dogshit but those reviews are awful. I wouldn't trust what any of those idiots say.

Well being Lafayette has better food than Baton Rouge and Lake Chuck, maybe they’ll have more success in one of those towns.

I can't seem to find it now but there was a review a few months ago where some woman was meeting someone there for a date, ordered food for both of them, the date no-showed, and she couldn't understand why the restaurant still charged her for the food.

Is this the “juicy seafood” that is going up in the cursed location of the old calendars?

In LC they are moving into an old Newk's Eatery location. I don't see them lasting > 9 months.

My wife said the same thing.
The for lease sign is still up at the one in Lafayette, unless it's been taken down recently.

I saw it there last night, that was part of the reason I started this thread. Then when I searched them on Facebook I noticed they have pages for 3 other locations.

I knew the reviews were bad, but there are usually a good bit of cars when I drive by. I've never been, nor do I personally know anyone that has gone.

I believe that sign is for the office buildings behind it. But they may as well accept an offer for the Fiery Crab building now. I suggest Portillo's, I think it would do well down here.

I’d take Ashley Smith to the fiery crab any day.

It’ll make it in LC but not BR. that’s only cause the food scene in LC is so bad. They only have Pats of Henderson.
Those people put a McAlisters out of business for a Denny’s. When Denny’s first opened, the line was out the door to get a table. At fricking dennnys. Also put a Whataburger out for a Starbucks. I have strong feelings about the food scene in LC. It’s the worst.
