Sounds like a nice 1-2. I haven't tried either of those yet...

First time to try the Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, which gets lots of hype. I liked it and I can appreciate the style. However, although I love Bourbon, I don't like it in my beer. I am glad I tried this one, but will not seek it out again. The Founders Breakfast Stout was awesome.

I should have specified the Founder's. But you answered it in your last post. I'll definitely pick it up next time

Wonderful stout. Lots of coffee and chocolate--heavy on the coffee. Great beer for my tastes. The GI Bourbon County Stout gets lots of love, but I am just not a big fan of beer aged in bourbon barrels. Just me.

I can appreciate this. I do enjoy the flavor, but anything more than 12 oz. gets to be a bit much. Something like a bomber of Parabola is a 2 hour investment for me unless I split it over a couple or three nights...

Agreed.

TBD is an Anderson Valley Hop Ottin' IPA. Very good. Thanks Coater.

I have that toaster.

FBD was an Affligim Noel at The Chimes with a dozen oysters and cheese fries.

SBD back home is a Parish Grand Reserve, or what's left of it from the other night.

Can't wait to get home and try the Sierra Nevada Porter. Is it any good? I haven't tried a porter before From what I understand, it's like a coffee beer, right?

Let me see how tomorrow goes at work. This "has to close by year-end" shite is kicking my arse this year.

it's pretty good. Anchor porter and rogue mocha porter are pretty good as well.

IMO it's hard to beat Fuller's London Porter. I can't think of anything better on the shelves in BR.
