You’re boiling it in crawfish boil so the flavor of the sausage is going to take a far back seat to whatever seasonings you have in the pot. A manda type sausage is perfect imo. Conecuh on the other hand is greasy gump sausage that slimes up anything it’s thrown in. Grill only

It is incredible how bad it is. Unless you’re Canadian I guess

Conecuh....
I dont know this brand.

It's about the best smoked sausage you can buy but it's fatty and not precooked, which makes it a poor choice for a boil.

My FIL insists on putting DD hot sausage in the boil. DD is not good in the boil, IMO.

It’s smoked sausage so it’s as pre-cooked as any. But it is real greasy

I have been using cheap ol hilshire farms in mine. The boil flavor is a strong one so I don’t bother with good Cajun sausage.

I will see if I can get it shipped out West here
I wouldn’t spend too much effort doing that. Any smoked sausage will do honestly for soaking in a crawfish boil

Are y’all dumb enough to care which smoked sausage sits in 10 gallons of spice water in Acadiana?

Deer sausage. Leftovers make sausage sandwiches for the kid's school lunches.

None. No one wants greasy crawfish.
