We ate there a few months back because it was walking distance from our hotel visiting the kid at LSU for the weekend. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was REALLY good TexMex, in my unprofessional opinion. Good drinks too and a really friendly staff.

Anyone ever try the "Mexican restaurant" off Jones Creek by the theater? Not sure it has a name. Live right by it but have never been.

It's called Ahuuas actually. The sign just sucks and you can only read the "Mexican Restaurant" part. It's been a few years since we've been. It was pretty decent, nothing memorable the few times we've been.

We also live in the area.

The last two times I went there, one time, the Margarita was good, the food not so good. The next time, the food was good, the Margarita, not so good. Haven’t been back.

Met friends at El Rio Grande last week, still good.
I still like Mestizo’s of all, the freshest ingredients. Food and Drinks are very good.

It's been a few years, but we've been there several times. It's a family run restaurant I believe so I like giving my business to places like that when I can.

I don't ever remember having a bad meal there, but nothing memorable either. Granted, it's TexMex. That's pretty hard to completely mess up.

The kids used to like the live music they have when they were little.

Margaritas tasted like someone put in lemon lime gatorade and plastic bottle tequila.

The food is trash.

Upvoters are probably geriatrics who think Pastime is great pizza.

Unless they have a second one, the La Salvadorena truck was for sale last I saw it. My office is next door to their brick and mortar and they had the truck out back (where nobody will see it, lol) with a For Sale sign on it last Thursday.
