Favorite day drinking spots in NOLA
Posted by tlsu15

I’ll be uptown, but willing to move around. What are your favorite spots for drinking before 2 PM?

Not sure if Tchop Yard is open that early, but that and Avenue Pub are good for day drinking.

Unfortunately they don't open until like 4 during the week, which is stupid on Fridays but whatever.

Past few times I've been there the service has been soooo slow
Finn McCool's on Banks in Mid-City
Holy Ground on Canal and what use to be Jeff Davis. No idea what the frick they renamed it.
Mid-City Yacht Club on S. St. Patrick St.---also serve food
Parkview Tavern, 910 N. Carrollton
Beachcorner Bar & Grill Canal by the cemeteries. Great burgers and the grilled tuna on bun is excellent too.
Just a few of the many near me in Mid-City.

Balcony Bar, 2nd floor overlooking Magazine is underrated
If hungry, love sitting at the bar at Saba & grabbing a few small plates

Agree about Finns. I’ll be there around 6:25 tomorrow morning.
Must be some serious football AKA soccer matches starting in the early afternoon in Europe for them to be open that time of day.
Have fun and enjoy one of their excellent Bloody Mary's.

I love and appreciate the Beachcorner for what it is, but on a day like today, it would seem like the most depressing place in the world to while away a couple of hours "daydrinking" in.

If you would like to drink beer then I can't think of a more ideal place to day drink uptown
