Favorite Coffee?

What's up everybody?! I just recently started drinking coffee earlier this year, drinking it black. At work it's community coffee which is typically burned by the time I get to it and nasty and not mention no consistency since multiple people are making it. So I recently bought a little individual maker for my desk and am trying new coffees.
I just got the Black Rifle CAF coffee and it's delicious. Curious to get some thoughts on the other BRCC flavors as well any other brands that may compare to it.
Anybody tried Deathwish or Wide Awake?

I always find all of those coffees to taste extremely burnt and bitter.
Usually I get a medium roast from somewhere in the neighborhood. Look for a local roaster near you and see what their selection is.

Cafeciteaux in BR and they do a subscription service.
Also a few of the roasters in NOLA do the same. Usually have it on your doorstep a couple days after they roast.

I like Stumptown French Truck in Nola and French Truck to grab a cup.
I love going to Whole Foods and getting a good freshly roasted dark roast ( (Samautra)to grind at home for a French Press when I’m not being lazy.
I like Starbucks beans for that as well.
When in Norma lazy mode I brew various Community styles.

We like Parish coffees. The medium and dark roasts are both great.

This. I’ve had a lot of coffee but a cup of freshly brewed Community dark is hard to beat

Try to find local roasters that you can get fresh-roasted beans, and if at all possible try to grind your own whole beans. After couple of weeks the beans lose a lot of luster and change flavor. Around BR you have:
Cafeciteaux
French Truck (New Orleans but they have a BR location)
Brew HaHa
Reve (Lafayette)
Titan Coffee Co.
And I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting. You'll learn over time what origins and roasts you really enjoy. I typically prefer medium roasts over dark roasts, and I really love most Ethiopian single origin coffees. Not long ago French Truck had an Ethiopian coffee they called Kossa Geshe and it was amazing.

If you want high grade coffee get a chemex. Likely your office coffee maker has a hot water tap. use that.
I buy La Colombe Coffee. Or intelligentsia coffee. Both great and the stated flavors ring true in the brew.
Make sure you get your measurements right and you can just repeat the brew easily.
If you really enjoy black coffee thats not burned it starts with good coffee thats not burned or over roasted , a burr grinder, and a chemex. There really is nothing like it.

The only kind of coffee I have ever had is dark roast Community Coffee. If that isn't available I just don't drink coffee.
