Taking my wife down there this weekend and am looking for some recommendations for a good dinner Saturday night. Haven’t done a whole lot of research yet but Gambinos, Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina, and Thyme on Section all look solid. Any others?

Hope Farm was great and cool environment.

Sage for lunch. Dragonfly for lunch. Gambinos was good for Italian. Wash House is a nice dinner spot. Thyme is also good place for lunch. My vote would be Hope Farm for dinner.

Thanks. Hope Farm dinner menu looks really good as does their Sunday brunch.

Hope Farm has a great atmosphere. There is a huge bourbon selection and great cocktail/wine menu. Also, Fairhope brewery is across the street if you like beer too.

Wash House and get the chateau briand! You’ll thank me afterward.

I went there and ordered exactly this earlier in the year based on recommendations from this board, and it was outstanding. I want to go back to fairhope just for this.

Dragonfly is a great Asian fusion place. Did lunch there based off this board as well, and we loved it. The spicy ramen was on point.

The fancy restaurant in the Grand was wonderful as well. Don’t recall the name, but of the three in there this is the only one we liked. It was great.

I’d say Wash House and Hope Farms. Wash House is more traditional. I had a soft shell crab there and it was delicious as well. Can’t go wrong with either. Look at the menus and see which one you like the best. Also, you might want to call for reservations. I think they fill up quickly.

Not a fan of Gambino’s, however I love the Wash House.

We had gambinos for dinner. It was ok. Huge menu - just about all Italian. They know how to pour a double buffalo trace. I’d take portobellos in BR over it all day if you are familiar.

Had ravenite pizza for dinner one night. It was solid.

We ate at dragonfly for lunch. Loved it. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We are at master joes for lunch and I thought it was a good sushi roll spot.

We are at Julwins for breakfast and it was ok. Nothing to get over excited about but ok with the staples.

We are at two places there were outside of downtown Fairhope. One was District Hall. Sort of a pizza/wing bar. I thought it was good. Opinions varied among our crew. Finally we went to Foley to meet some friends for dinner at a place called Local and Company. This is not of a drive from Fairhope. I got lit up but remember their pizza being good.

Went a few months back.
Sunset Pointe was disappointing. Awesome layout, but what we ate was pretty meh for the price. And got a margarita that sucked, IMO. Maybe it was what we ate.

Dragonfly is a must. It was fantastic and it's a cool little bar. Wife had some kind of kung po chicken tacos and they were absolutely awesome. I had some kind of steak taco that was also good, just not as good as hers. And the pork rinds and queso was very good.

Have always loved Dragonfly. Went a couple weeks ago and it was delicious as always.

Sage is my fave

The pizza at Ravenite is really good, but their wings are killer

I’ve found Sunset Pointe and Hope Farm underwhelming. Gambino’s and Thyme are solid, but not great. Dragonfly is a great casual spot. Wash House can be hit or miss, but when it’s on, it’s damn good. My favorite restaurant in town is Camellia Cafe. For breakfast, hit Warehouse Bakery.

I’ve only been to Thyme for lunch. It was solid. Never been to Gambino’s or Sunset so I’m little help there

Bone and Barrel is a good place to grab a beer after dinner downtown and they typically have live music

Camellia Cafe is probably my favorite downtown “fancy” restaurant with a good atmosphere

Wash House is great too but not downtown technically but not too far either. I’d recommend it

Fairhope Inn and Char 32 are also good. Char 32 is like Wash House location wise and not downtown

Mcsharry’s is another solid casual place to grab a beer after dinner

Red or White is a good place downtown to go before dinner to grab an appetizer and glass of wine. Pizza is also phenomenal. It’s kinda a wine store/bar with a handful of tables

Flybar is another solid smaller casual bar to grab a drink at

Bucky’s Lounge at The Grand has a good burger and bar. Might even be able to sit outside if the breeze is going

I’ll shut up now since you said y’all are there for just the weekend. Fairhope is great. Y’all will have a blast

The Wash House is my favorite spot for dinner. It is about 3 miles away from downtown Fairhope (exactly 1 mile past the entrance to the Grand Hotel). Order the chateaubriand.

Stay away from Gambino's. There are some good items on the menu (I like the prime rib), but it has gone downhill and is basically a "Sysco Shop".

Dragonfly Foodbar is a good spot for lunch.
