Headed over next week to hopefully enjoy a few days before the summer swelter sets in. Been several years since we were in the Fairhope area. Looking for some restaurant suggestions.
TIA

* Plane and Level - Italian coastal cuisine

* Panini Pete’s - Cafe with burgers
* Page and Pallete - Bookstore with cafe
* Gene’s Beans - Ice cream and coffee shop
Bon Secour (near Fairhope)
* Tin Top - Oyster Bar and Steakhouse

Among the others mentioned, grab lunch at Sunset Point. It's really hitting right now

I haven’t been yet, as it’s only been open a week or so….Atticus has taken over the space previously occupied by Plane and Level. Upscale French,

It has always perplexed me as to why on their menu, half of their veal dishes are listed as "tender veal" and half are not. Are the others on the menu not tender?

I’ll try to ask them next trip. I’ve always gotten a very good meal there. Tony was picking up food for he and the wife. I need to head down to Mandina’s again, real soon. I ate with friends, called and asked my cousin to join us. He was the Girls Beach Volleyball Head Coach at UNO.

I did like the food at Gambino's, it's just a quirky thing on the menu description for their veal.

Wash House and Jesse's are our favorites.

I can't speak explicitly on what this place is doing and exactly why.
However, I will say there are certain veal dishes, mostly the sauteed ones such as piccata or marsala, where you want a more delicate type baby veal, versus those where it's breaded and fried, like just cutlets or parmesan, where more of a little older calf type veal is perfectly fine, and arguably even preferable.
I'm wondering if that's how or why they are distinguishing it there.
ETA, but pulling up their menu online, there does indeed seem to be no rhyme or reason as to how or why they are distinguishing it there because it's certainly not following along the lines of what I was saying.

I’m definitely very familiar with the different cuts of veal and their respective optimum useage in a restaurant’s menu offerings. However, it seems you get my point in your edit.

Lots of good dinner suggestions here.
For lunch try Market By the Bay. Killer pot roast po boy. Split it with a friend, it's huge and sloppy.
