I was invited to a friend's recently. They were making spaghetti.
They didn't start until 9pm. Im usually getting into bed by then.
Im fine with spaghetti sauce out a jar. Problem is the meat was hot dogs. Not good ones either. Oscar Meyers.
I ate the tiniest bowl and then stopped at McDonalds after.

Had Thanksgiving with some friends and the girl that made the cornbread dressing could tell the mixture was too dry. Instead of adding broth or water to thin it properly, she kept adding eggs until it was the consistency she wanted. Turned out like a rubber floor mat in your car.

You have adult friends who ask other friends over and serve canned sauce over hotdogs? I just want to make sure I read this correctly.

I would not hang out with them anymore. No sane person would think it's ok to serve cut up hot dogs and pasta sauce to an adult. If you can't cook you need to pick something up from a restaurant or have it catered.

Good grief, that is just wrong in just about every area.

Closer to midnight than 6 p.m. finishing a meal, sauce out of a jar and cheap hot dogs for the meat in it. My aunt use to make this for us kids when we were little, but we outgrew that crap long ago.

Let me guess, Boone's Farm for the wine to go with it????

Sliced white bread???

Knockoff brand cookies that look like Oreo cookies for dessert????

Sounds like McDonalds was the best part of the night.

Yes.
I know his wife is a bad cook. Usually I cook for them.
They actually invited me over to see new dog and hang out and asked new to stay for dinner.

Some people just can't cook.

Yeah, but they always order a big spread from a restaurant when they invite people over because they know their limitations.

This almost seems like intentional joking its so bad I've been to plenty houses where people aren't very skilled in the kitchen, but damn even if you can't cook you have to know this is a crappy meal.

It sounds like a meal that would be made/served at a homeless encampment.

Quite a few years ago my wife had her friends over and I was supposed to cook some pasta thing they wanted. I was like 25 and had never really used red pepper flakes before.

Lets just say I may have used to much red pepper. It was good, but that red pepper just made it so freaking spicy.

One of her friends bf at the time sat there and ate it like a champ. He was a bama fan to so I was unsure about him. Got to say, he's a pretty good dude after that.

Thats my story.
