Guessing the CoM and the Rotel go into that otherwise unseasoned beef, then that mixture goes over the Doritos. Probably had some cheese in the fridge ready to be baked off over that damn fine recipe.

I don’t believe you, nobody would put hot dogs in spaghetti sauce unless they’re homeless and that’s what somebody gave them

I was invited to a friend's recently. They were making spaghetti.
They didn't start until 9pm. Im usually getting into bed by then.
Im fine with spaghetti sauce out a jar. Problem is the meat was hot dogs. Not good ones either. Oscar Meyers.
I ate the tiniest bowl and then stopped at McDonalds after.

You didn’t upgrade by much.

I’ve been to quite a few crappy dinners over the years and I just bring a good bottle of wine and make sure I get a big pour or two out of it.

I’ve been served crappy hot dogs too although not with pasta and red gravy. Once it was 4 couples at ones house for lunch after an early morning sporting event. She cooked 8 hot dogs, 1 can hot dog chili and small bags of potato chips. We each had 1 Bar S hot dog and a Chek Cola.

And she was as proud as could be and knowing her we all were proud for her as well.

My friends run the complete spectrum so I’m normally pretty aware of what to expect with whomever and you just have to grin and bare it. Food just doesn’t matter to some people.

Yes.
I know his wife is a bad cook. Usually I cook for them.
They actually invited me over to see new dog and hang out and asked new to stay for dinner.

Some people just can't cook.

Are you sure you weren't eating the old dog?

The only reason I tell the story is because of the odd protien.

I still put it above Cincinnati chili.

Brother in law makes Cincinnati chili topped with hotdogs. It's disgusting.

So they invited you to see their new dog and served you hotdogs with red sauce? That's disgusting too...and a bit disturbing.

I bet your friend's favorite restaurant is Raising Cane's. Chicken fingers and Ore-Ida fries. You know...a child's meal.

Every night that I'm not cooking!

My wife can't cook unless it's instapot or prepackaged. And when she tries, she makes a big, fricking mess.

However, as she makes a nice six figure income, I ALWAYS compliment her and help clean up her mess.

Many years ago we were fishing in the gulf and ran inland to get away from a squall. Get inside and tie up to a shrimp boat with some good ole boys from cutoff who were doing the same. Step into their galley and they were making supper while riding out the storm. Spaghetti, ketchup and red weiners.... Lol... We still call it cutoff spaghetti

If you examine it closely you may decipher a quite complex code in its patterns. It actually gave me a chuckle.

That's not just people who can't cook. That's people who are lazy as hell. Jeez, you can go out and buying freaking meatballs these days. Make an effort.

Well if we are going to “people who can’t cook at the camp” I can relate to that as the larder can dictate creative meals and your Cutoff fisherman just might have been doing their best. I have had some incredibly “creative” meals at the farm or camp.

When I first got married my wife made creamed tuna on toast with just plain canned tuna and skim milk. I had grown up eating tuna fish sandwiches and still eat them but had never in my life had creamed tuna, much less with skim milk. My god it was to this day the very worst meal I’ve ever had. Is very worst correct?

In my 30 plus years of marriage and all it’s challenges I can say that is the only night I went to bed questioning if I had made the right decision regarding a life partner.

The neighbors had dinner with us and are still very close friends. So crappy meals from friends or family aren’t the end of the world.
