Afternoon All,

Seeing Duran Duran tomorrow, and I haven't eaten in the CBD in a really long time, so can anyone recommend a few decent places that are fairly close to the King Of Smoothie?

As long as it's better quality than Subway, I'm pretty much open to almost anything...

Thanx in advance!

I never see this place mentioned on here, but I kind of dig it for what it is and might be a good place for this situation - in other words, not a big sit down meal kind of place, but something to eat and drink before a show.

Gotta admit, I've never even heard of it!

It's a very non-descript little place near Herbsaint that you wouldn't even notice unless you were looking for it.

Brewery Saint X would work too. Been twice and the food has been excellent (actually going before a concert on Saturday as well).

Also, more than just beer...good cocktails and wine as well.

Copper Vine has been growing in popularity lately. Not sure what the deal is but the food has also been much better as of yet.

I second coppervine. We ate there before a saints game and it was on point.

Maypop is the best in the Dome/Arena area.

My two favorite restaurants within walking distance of the arena are Domenica in the Roosevelt, especially if pizza and wine happy hour is in effect, and Copper Vine, which is closer.

We are going too! Thinking of Walkons on Poydras, but live in Metairie, so may go somewhere there.

You owe it to yourself and traveling party to go somewhere better than Walkon or Copper Vine
