There's a weird Asian-owned John's Seafood in Lafayette on the thru-way. I always thought it was a mom and pop, but maybe its a small chain. Either that or John is the go to name Asian's use when they want to sound American.

I had to go to Evansville, In for work a few years ago.
I had never been to Indiana and figured it would be shitty.
I took a drive one evening to find some pizza and found a hole in the wall called Jimmy's UNA Pizza. Man it was one of the best pizzas i have ever had. Not a bad little town on the Ohio river.

Bahama Bob's in Gulf Shores. You can walk up to it from the beach. Food was way better than I expected.

He totally plagiarized Jimmy Buffett , but still sounds like my kind of place, I'll have to check them out next summer.

My wife and I took a trip to Minneapolis/St Paul when she had to get some training for work. While she was in class I hit up downtown for some museums and shopping at the imports shops.

I was wandering around looking for a lunch spot. I wandered into Mickey's Diner. It was only after I got home that I found out it was famous. (National Register of Historic Places)

I couldn't walk past a place like that, I'd have to stop and sit down for a cup of coffee at a minimum. I love the old diners.

Haven't eaten there, but I did eat at the little Mexican restaurant in the shopping center next to the Burger King, corner of Grand Caillou and Prospect. Food was good, but nobody spoke a word of English and they took cash only, which I didn't have any, took me a few mins to get the girl to understand I'd be right back with cash, I think I showed her my empty wallet and left my driver's license or something

Stumbled onto a place called Macchialina on Miami beach when it had been open for about a week.

Place has been ranked among the best places on South Beach in the last few years. I knew the first bartenders and the owners so even when I fly back down now I get free appetizers and booze

Heres the menu....

Tacos $2 or 3 for 5
Burrito $5
Quesadilla $5
Torta $5
Meat choices are Beef, Pork, Chicken, Beef stomach, beef tounge.

Thats it, they come dressed with lettuce, cilantro, onion, lime and avacado. Some things have white cheese.

On Fri-Sat-Sun after 5 they have pork tacos for $1 each, they small so I normally get 10 for me and the boy.

E & L BBQ in Jackson, MS. The hot links at 2:00 in the morning were worth risking life and limb.

On my many travels. Clarksdale Mississippi. I think the name was The Ranchero or just 'the Ranch' ~~ Ordered 1/2 dozen raw for an app. Wound up canceling everything I had ordered, and ate 2/1/2 dozen more.. Best raw oysters I had ever eaten...or since. They were just in from Abbeville. I think it closed...may have reopened Was a long time ago.

WOndeRfuL!
