My recipe contains mostly butter and crawfish with the usual veggies. Nothing else perishable. It was hot really late last night (10:30?) and I left it out, covered, until I woke up around 6:30 this AM. Now it’s in the fridge. Think it’s safe to freeze and eat again? Hate to toss out that much product, and it was really good. TIA

Eat it. As long as you reheat to temp, you'll be fine.

A long tradition in some parts of the world. I might eat some today if I can get my hands on it.

How do this many people forget to put food in the fridge? I always remember. You don't clean up your kitchen before bed and put away whatever needs to be put away?

Just a guess, but alcohol has been involved every time I’ve done it.

Heat it up and see if it passes the smell and (small) taste tests. Then wait an hour to see if you feel sick.

Based on experience, it should be okay.

It’s fine. As long as the ingredients were fresh & cooked to a safe temp last night, you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Just reheat it to a safe temp & enjoy.

Yep. No dish is worth a potential bout of food poisoning.

Nothing worse than sitting on a commode with explosive shits coming out one end and your head in a bucket puking so much you wind up with dry heaves.
