Are there going to reopen as Dunkin when they relaunch under that brand and business model?

Can't blame them. The city is a dumpster fire.

local bakeries are better, at least the one here is. If you are ever in T-town, go to Babe's

Dry donuts that had been previously baked, frozen, shipped, thawed, and then decorated.

Awful product.

Growing up in the north and eating the donuts at the BR locations I can provide you with my thoughts. First, the donuts weren't the same. I love the chocolate glazed donuts at DD, but the ones they had at the Bluebonnet location were noticably different. The ones up north are the dense, cake style donut which is superior IMO. When I asked about this at the Bluebonnet location I was told they don't order the chocolate cake donuts for some reason.

Which brings me to my next observation; DD locations used to make their own donuts. I vividly remember seeing the huge mixing machine my hometown DD had in the back. When these new DD locations sell their donuts they order them from somewhere else and delivered. Ruins the donut but probably helps to cut down on waste.

Back in my day DD's used to throw out all of the donuts that didn't sell at the end of the day. I don't know if they do that anymore. But I have noticed, even to this day, the chocolate glazed are different up north than down south.

I never drank the coffee but the DD's were designed to get coffee to-go in a quick manner. McD's wasn't nearly as quick in the morning; everyone that went to work stopped at DD to get their coffee and a bagel or donut for breakfast because it was cheap, fast, and reliable. No-nonsense drinks, no full breakfast orders. That's how I remember DD.

Went to the one off of Bluebonnet, it was my first time to one, and was the only car in the parking lot/drive thru. Heard a wonderful, cheerful voice come over the intercom to say, "Whatcha want?" I asked for a minute to look at the menu, to which I was told, "No, hurry up." I said a few choice words before pulling away and deciding I will never buy anything from one again.

I hope they go bankrupt and close every store.

Correct, nothing was actually cooked at the stores.

No idea how anyone could think that is a good idea for a donut shop. There were no cooks/bakers in the store and never any "fresh" donuts

a cup of community and a Krispy Kreme from the gas station is better than anything you could get at Dunkin' Donuts

BR really needs a Krispy Kreme that isn't on Plank.

Unless it recently opened, the one on Siegen has been closed more than 5+ years.

I'll take DD coffee over community every day. Not sure why community is so popular besides being local
