Per their Facebook Page (can't link on this computer), Delgado and company will make Huey's and 1913 the focus.

Wonder how much longer they will last?

What's the deal with 3rd street? 8-10 years ago it seems like it was auspiciously ascending.

Went there after a wedding a few months back. It wasn't a place that sober white girls are going to want to get drunk and possibly be stuck by themselves at.

I've been in there 3 different times on a Friday afternoon/evening and, at most, there were only about 5 other people in there.

3rd Street is great to go grab a drink or two after work, but once the culcha comes out later the atmosphere generally deteriorates.

They generally stay out of Cask and Barrel though. I was dive barring it Friday at the Bald Eagle and had to leave once they came and ruined it.

It sucks that this happens.

Several years ago, I remember walking to Schlitz and Giggles around 1:30 am and the front door was locked. The girl inside pointed me to the side door. She told me they had to lock the front door and pretend they were closed because the culcha was causing too much trouble out front.

This wasn't the case when Roux House and Boudreaux and Thibodaux first opened. I guess things change.

Well that sucks, it’s the only bar down there worth a shiite.

Draft House just forgot to try, for the past 2 years they've been running with 50% of their taps consistently empty and their bar staff 25% trained. Driftwood is way better in the professionalism and knowledge department.

I was at 3rd St a few Fridays ago and it was fine past 9PM, even for small packs of girls. But it hasn't grown any more in the past few years and I don't see SWB doing anything to help.

Their problem is they wanted to be a craft beer bar, but something like 3/4s of their taps were shite. Having a billion taps is cool, but a waste of money if you don't turn over the kegs because you offer a much of crap.

I parked downtown Saturday for the game. At 11:00 Saturday night it was very culcha.

That said, when did the Varsity get so much culcha?

Stayed at the Watermark this weekend. Around 11:30 after the game, wife and I walked 3rd St. to check it out. First block of of North Blvd was OK, but once we crossed Florida it was a bit disconcerting. Got to Main and decided it was time to get out of there. As we were walking back, wife heard a 'young lady' say "What are THEY doing here." Knew it was time head back.
