Your wife sounds like she's 5. Why would you ever marry someone so narrow minded and picky?

She also kinda sounds like a B

wtf? is this a poor man's shrimp fettuccine?

My grandpa used to cook shrimp spaghetti. It's a tomato based sauce (not a meat sauce) but the protein paired with it is shrimp, rather than meatballs, or Italian sausage.

It wasn't my favorite thing that he cooked, but it was pretty good.

The larger question, to me, is why her food choices bother you to the point of posting about it on a message board

When you're wife is a picky eater you are pretty much forced in to being a picky eater as well. Neither of us want to cook twice so ill eat what she cooks and cook what she eats.

I'd imagine this could be good if it was maybe a half and half tomato and white sauce with angel hair.

Shrimp spaghetti is a bayou Cajun standard. Think shrimp in a red sauce, and you’re mostly there. Hardcore folks add a little crab fat to the sauce. It’s common enough to be a standard cafe plate lunch weekly special in SE LA esp Houma/Thib/Morgan City area.

I’m not picky at all but there are a few things I don’t want to eat. And I do understand texture issues because I do not like coconut itself - flavor is great, it toasted is doable but the raw flakes no thanks. Love the flavor of strawberries but not a fan of eating a whole strawberry or one dipped in chocolate, mashed up or cooked in something I love it. I’m crazy.

I think I adopted one of your buddies kids.

Wouldn't it be easier to list what she DOES eat?

And to answer your question, yes.

It absolutely is - I’m from Morgan City I know - though I did have couple family members that were commercial shrimpers, so shrimp were always plentiful. Oyster spaghetti (in red sauce) as well. Used to be pretty common on restaurant menus in south-central coastal Louisiana.

Sounds like her Mother went through a drive through for all meals and she never learned how to eat a normal diet.

Being a picky eater is not an eating disorder, my friend.

After looking at your list, unless she is Kate Beckinsale’s twin with Jenna Jameson’s skill set in the bedroom, I can tell you what she wouldn’t be.

you must have worked with my husbands friends. We refuse to travel with him because I don't want to try every hamburger and steak place in every city.
