Dinner Recs in Manhattan

Wife and I and going for a short trip, 3 days only, staying in Midtown East. Arriving on a Saturday mid morning, departing on a Tuesday morning.
We'd like to do little Italy for lunch on Monday so I need a rec for that area. A relative is taking us to lunch somewhere on Sunday.
Would also like some dinner recs; we aren't picky at all other than not wanting to travel across the island to grab a meal. Please throw some suggestions for me to research further.
TIA!

A few of my favorite haunts:
For dinner, if you like Asian, try Tao Downtown. Great atmosphere and food. I recommend the Chilean Sea Bass appetizer.. but all of the appetizers are delicious.
LINK
If you're interested in Italian, I like Eataly on 23rd and 5th Ave. It's Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich's Italian food court that has different sections you can check out, depending on what suits you.. There's a pasta section, fish section, pizza, chacuterie and wine, dessert and coffee.. and a book and magazine section. it's a lot of fun.
If you're looking for something on the hip, modern, cutting edge NY kinda place, you can check out Indochine (pronounced End-O-Sheen) at 430 Lafayette Street. It's around Astor Place, which is a fun area to walk around.. near NYU. LINK
If you want to try Ramen, Momofuku Noodle Bar at 171 1st Avenue is always on the James Beard lists.. and the food is delicious. LINK
Union Square Café has new American cuisine. Very good place. LINK
If you want to do Tavern on the Green in Central Park, it's re-opened and remodeled and is also very good. LINK
Have fun.

Quality Meats for dinner.

If you're looking for a quick dinner (i.e. sandwiches, pizza), I'm a huge fan of Parm, Katz's, Antico Noe, Xe May, Original Sandwich Shoppe, NY Pizza Suprema, Joe's, and Mariella. Favorite Italian is Sauce, but I also love Del Posto, Marea and Emilio's. With sushi, I prefer a more-casual spot, so places like Tsushima, Bamboo, and Sushi Katsuei appeal to me.

I highly recommend Rubirosa in little Italy

Don’t bother looking into Umbertos.
Rubirosa is another. Lure in Soho is fun.

We had a good experience at Lombardi’s last October.
Kids were excited because it’s the first pizzaria in America.

Since you’re in Mid-town you might consider Empellon at 53rd and Madison. The Modern is also excellent as is Marea, on Central Park South. The fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow is one of the GOAT pasta dishes and I don’t even really like seafood.
Also, on 51st is Le Bernardin probably my favorite restaurant of all time (I know I’ve said I don’t like seafood and I’m giving two seafood restaurant recs). It’s difficult to get a table in the dining room, but the bar doesn’t take reservations and they serve the full menu in the bar, in addition to a shorter bar menu. During the week they serve a City Harvest menu to benefit a local charity at lunch. It’s ~$50 for three courses and it’s a fantastic deal. The lounge at LB makes it the most accessible Michelin three star restaurant in NY if not the world. Show up at noon when they open and getting a table in the lounge is no problem. But sit at the bar as th chairs in th lounge are sadistically uncomfortable. Definitely check it out if you can.

If you can afford it, I would recommend Sparks Steakhouse
Sparks Steakhouse
Mob bosses are dying to get it.

The Smith for a chill Sunday night dinner. Great atmosphere for you and Nolagrl
That’s my old hood. If you want a bagel, get to Essa Bagel nice and early. Best one in the city.
Hudson Malone is a good place for a drink

Emphasize early. That line gets long in a hurry.

Here is a thread from a while back. It has a bunch of good options.
